I have to be honest: I was genuinely worried about this one. Completely overhauling the look of these characters was a bold move, and I wasn't sure how you'd react. But seeing how fully you've embraced this new direction is both a huge relief and a real joy!

PAINTING Tutorials: We Hear You

Many of you have asked how to achieve the prismatic effects on the Void Elves' clothing and hair. 

We're genuinely considering it… but these last three months have been extraordinarily intense, with the entire team focused on delivering this release, the Sovereign, and the full redesign of the two previous collections. 

We haven't been able to take on any extra projects, but it is something we'd love to explore, and we'll see what we can put together. Your thoughts are welcome on this.

What's NEXT

This whole experience has been incredibly rewarding, albeit exhausting, and we're already considering similar overhauls for other factions. 

With the lessons learned from this project, we're confident future reworks will go much more smoothly…

PPS/ A Note on Stability Bases for Death Gliders and Swiftblades Riders 

FYI: Among the reworked miniatures inside Surpassed by Darkness: Expurgators VS Void Elves, you’ll find that the Death Gliders and the Swiftblades Riders now come with optional stability bases. 

These are designed to keep the standard base size — so your in-game measurements remain accurate — while adding a thin extension around the perimeter to increase the overall footprint and give the model more stability on the tabletop. 

We created these as a precaution, to make these models sturdier and less fragile during play. They may not be strictly necessary, but they give you the option if you want extra peace of mind. Of course, if you prefer, you can simply use the standard bases included with the rest of the release.
