Hmmmmmm…. OK, let’s say it:
The Blood Tribes are back, and they're not happy about it
If the end of the summer holidays together with the back-to-school/work season is putting you in a bad mood, you are very clearly not alone. The Blood Tribes are back for a second volume, and they are not taking it well either.
So why are they so angry? Tan lines they're not proud of, after a whole summer at the beach? One barbecue and one cocktail too many, and a few extra pounds to show for it? Or is the sheer idea of going back to that time of year simply more than they can bear? Unless, of course, the real problem lies with a few pacts made with a few thoroughly disreputable gods…
Whatever the reason, your favorite barbarians are back !!
…and in an even worse temper than usual!
Enjoy the video, and race back to read more fun stuff
A quick word about the Tribes
As the name suggests, the Blood Tribes are exactly that: several tribes always at war with anything and everything.
The tribe we explored in the first volume of this collection, as the one you're getting in this second volume, is the Furiaans. And it's a fair bet that over time, we'll keep growing this delightful little community of cheerful, high-spirited individuals :)
This one is even more brutal than the last
Yep. It just happened that way.
THIS time, we gave pride of place to the brutes, the creatures, the monsters, and even to a few more or less demonic incarnations.

Our shadowy Furiaans are led this month by Morrakha, Mother of the Blooded , a wolf queen who is fiercely protective of her own and utterly without mercy for anyone who isn't. Beside her stands Yarr An-Tharrok, the Beast Bound Warlord, a furious war leader with a permanent thirst for blood and savagery, and two brothers, Ghor Khargar and Yul Khargar, the Champion of the Black Sun and the Champion of the Black Moon.
There was a reason for that…
The first Blood Tribes release gave you a lot of variety to work with in terms of character classes, but it felt to us like you were in need of champions who were genuinely, unambiguously brutes in close combat, which is, after all, the whole essence of this kind of army.
And since that still didn't feel like enough, we added Rhazak the War Possessed, a berserker who is quite thoroughly possessed by an unclenchable fury, and Eryva, a warrior prophet whose visions come to her in the blood of her enemies.
Then, in a more delicate frame but no less dangerous for it, there's Ariaak, the Butcher of Kings, who has crossed and conquered a great many kingdoms and brought home a few kings’ heads to show for it .

And to complete this picture of exceptionally violent heroes: Shee, the Blood-Soaked Oracle, a priestess riding an enormous chimera, and Zh’k Vrr, a minor demon of the Blood Veil.
The Blood Veil, for the Furiaans, is the supernatural wall that separates the world of humans from the world of spirits. It's a barrier, but an inhabited one, full of particularly fearsome creatures that sometimes break through into the world of the living. That's exactly the case with the fearsome Blood Veil Lurkers, a unit that I think is going to win you over with its look and its completely savage attitude.
But the Monsters are where this release goes
I've already mentioned Rraamorgeesh, the Frost Fire Chimera. I have to be honest with you about chimeras: I find them a particularly hard monster to get right, and in my opinion they often end up looking faintly ridiculous. We worked hard on this one to make sure that she would not feel like that.
And she has everything I love: she's elegant, intense, coiled like a big cat about to spring, full of fury, with wings like the blades of an enormous knife. I hope you'll like her as much as I do.
She also reminds me of a historic Raging Heroes miniature, our Manticore, one of our very first releases. That one made real waves in the industry, she was voted 2nd best mini of the year! This type of creature with that much attitude was a true rarity at that time.
There are, of course, plenty of other wild creatures among the troops:
- the Gorekin Yetis, which I find particularly cool with their completely gangling attitude and their huge arms and claws
- the Blood Stampede Cavalry, enormous mounts of extreme brutality
- Morrakha mounted on her huge Ice Spire Dragon

- and this month's centerpiece, Maugrog the Crusher, a giant of rare brutality and intensity which I personally find extremely cool.

Watching the video again
Looking at this month's video, I can't help being surprised by the sheer violence of the release, even though that's exactly what we worked on all month. We focused everything on giving this army a savage, brutal character. But the truth is that the video goes beyond what I had in mind in terms of the vibe this army gives off.
You've told us a lot over these past months that Heroes Infinite has taken a big leap forward. It's true that I've made a point, along with the rest of the team, of injecting a new energy and a new eye into everything we create. I hope that continues to work for you.
What's certain is that with the Furiaans, I didn't want to make Barbarians of the kind we've all seen a hundred times. I wanted something far more intense, far more singular. Something that really matches the spirit of Raging Heroes and Heroes Infinite.
And so…
So I hope this whole band of merry souls lifts your spirits for the coming Fall season, and gives you the urge to stage all sorts of adventures across frozen, inhospitable lands, and to play epic battles with some very colorful characters indeed.
As always, we can't wait to hear which miniatures are your favorites in this release, and how you're planning to use them.
On behalf of the whole team, I wish you a wonderful new season and many great games in the year ahead.
See you very soon.
