This month, we went somewhere completely different.

Last month's Void Elves clearly blew you away and your reaction and enthusiasm blew us away. But what you might not realize is just how deeply that release shaped what you're about to discover today.

Beyond your enthusiastic reaction to the Void Elves was a message. A loud, a clear message. And the survey results also confirmed it: you want us to lean into our style as far as it can go. You want generosity in every aspect: in the sculpts, in the sheer ambition of what we create for you every month.

We heard you. And we ran with it. Enjoy the video and keep reading for the how and the why:

The theme

Meet the Blood Tribes. A savage, brutal, utterly uncompromising barbarian army. And one of the most intense things we've ever created.

Every time we start a new project, there's a phase where we ask ourselves: what story are we telling here? What can we bring you that you haven't seen before, something that lets you build armies and adventures that truly stand apart?

This time, the creative work focused on two things. 
First: characters with deeply personal narratives. Every single one of these warriors carries a story you can feel just by looking at them: they are scarred, marked, shaped by a life of violence and ritual. We wanted you to look at each model and immediately start imagining who they are and what they've been through.
Second: finding a visual identity so striking that your army would be instantly recognizable on any table, in any collection.
And that's where things got interesting.

Breaking the rules. On purpose.

We tend to think of Barbarians in earth tones. Browns, greys, maybe some snow. It's the safe choice. The expected one.

We didn't want safe.

What I really wanted to capture was the raw violence of these characters, something primal and unsettling. 

In many cultures, WHITE is the color of death.
Pair it with RED, and you get a contrast that hits like a punch to the gut.
That became our foundation.

Think of it this way: imagine a splash of blood on fresh snow. That image — visceral, stark, impossible to ignore — is essentially the DNA of this entire release.

From there, everything fell into place quickly.

We added BLACK to make these warriors even more disturbing, and one of our key inspirations came directly from the Picts, ancient warriors who painted their entire bodies before battle. We took that idea and twisted it: instead of traditional blue warpaint, ours is red, black, and white. These characters coat themselves head to toe before stepping onto the battlefield, and that's what gives them their almost supernatural, deeply unsettling presence.

Once we ran that first test with this color scheme, we knew we had our direction. 

And finally if you're a comics fan, you'll probably sense that Simon Bisley's Sláine was a major influence on the raw energy of this release.

But this isn't just about how they look in a showcase. It's about what they'll do for YOU.

Whether you're building a warband, a full army, or pulling characters for your RPG campaigns, these miniatures are designed to give you something you can't find anywhere else. 

The silhouettes are bold enough to read from across the table.

We also pushed hard on the large creatures this time around. The giant mounts in this release represent a serious investment of time and effort from our team, and I think you'll feel that the moment you open the files.

They're imposing, detailed, and designed to be genuine centerpieces. The kind of models that make people stop and stare.

I'm extremely proud of what we've achieved here. But I want to be clear about something: this release exists because of you.

Your overwhelming enthusiasm for the Void Elves went far beyond kind words. We read it as your genuine vote of confidence. When you told us throughout the survey that you love it when we let loose, when you push us to go further and to be more ourselves… What a gift! It changed something. It gave me the confidence to take this project to places I might not have dared to go otherwise. The Blood Tribes are a direct result of that trust.

And I believe that's exactly what happened here: we've taken barbarian armies into uncharted territory, and the combination of the color language, the body paint concept, the intensity of the sculpts and the sheer scale of the creatures adds up to something that will set a new benchmark for this genre.
