Nearly 80,000 views. We're still catching our breath
Have you seen how many views the Guns and Rosaries video has racked up on YouTube?
At the time of writing, it's close to 80,000. That makes it the most popular video in the entire history of Heroes Infinite. Not by a little.
The success of this release has been genuinely impressive, and your overwhelming comments have truly warmed our hearts. So of course, we're thrilled to share with you today the Sovereign extension for Guns and Rosaries.
Enjoy the video and keep reading below to learn more:
And yes, we heard you. You've asked us many times already, and a second chapter for the Daughters of the Crucible is in our plans, so we can keep growing this faction and its world.
But first, here's what we've cooked up for you this month.
A Sovereign that plays by different rules
I have to be honest: this extension is a little unusual.
Every month, our throwbacks add new troopers to units from older releases. This time, there was nothing in the Heroes Infinite catalog, or very little, that really lent itself to that. We simply didn't have older troops we could complete the way we usually do.
So we took a different approach.
The originals, in both editions
We know many of you are fans of our original Daughters of the Crucible miniatures. And you probably know they exist in two editions: the classic edition, and the Day of the Dead edition, with that very particular Catrina look from the Mexican Day of the Dead tradition.
So here's what we decided to do: give you access to all ten of these miniatures, in both versions. Classic and Day of the Dead.
That squad alone makes up a sizeable part of this Sovereign extension.
A new Hell Rider joins the gang
Next, we created a brand-new miniature for the Hell Riders, our bikers. Each of them has a very different personality, and each one is a true heroine in her own right, even though they're technically part of a unit.
That's no accident. The Daughters of the Crucible were all designed as All-Stars. All-Stars was a concept we developed a while back: every character in a unit was almost a secondary heroine, with each miniature different from the next and carrying non-standard gear, so you could personalize your troops as much as possible.
That's exactly the case with the Hell Riders, where every rider has her own distinct theme. And the newcomer is inspired by both toreros and mariachis. I'll admit it: I find her particularly cool.
Two heroines come home
We want to give you access to the whole range of Daughters we've released over the years as physical miniatures at Raging Heroes, and to make them available as printable files on Heroes Infinite.
So this month, Venusia Tormenta and Taquita Bang Bang join the heroine line-up. Both were released in resin by Raging Heroes for special events and promotions. Now you can add them to your Daughters army whenever you like.
You can never have too many hearses
We've also extended the other troops of the release, so you can field more varied units on your gaming table.
And finally, we created alternative versions of the two battle hearses, with new weapons and new crews. Partly to give you more flexibility. And partly, let's be honest, because we absolutely love these vehicles, and we firmly believe you can never have too many of these machines on a tabletop.
Two dioramas, straight from the big screen
As always, the highlights of the Sovereign will undoubtedly be the two dioramas: The Gunslinger's Benediction and Blessed be the Bullet.
I love them both. But I have a small weakness for The Gunslinger's Benediction, (shown at the top of this post) which looks like it walked straight out of a Robert Rodriguez film.
And this is only the beginning
I hope this whole outburst of guns, skulls and chrome makes you want to play the Daughters of the Crucible even more. Personally, I adore this faction. And I fully intend to bring you more characters and more creations around these Sisters and their world in the months to come. Even crazier ones, if we can manage it.
As always, we can't wait to hear from you. Tell us which miniatures are your favorites, how you plan to play them, which ones you'll print first and which ones you're itching to paint.
We wish you a very happy Halloween, surrounded by your Day of the Dead Daughters.
Happy gaming, and see you very soon!
