“This is absolutely fantastic! The Dragonborn are beautiful and fierce, the paladins look triumphant and that centrepiece has got to be one of my absolute favourites yet. You’re starting off 2025 with a bang and I’m loving it! Also, thank you for including models both with and without wings. I love the way they look with wings more but there’s so many times where that just wouldn’t work and I’d be stuck. It’s things like that, that really bring home how much you think about us. Thank you <3"

- Wayward Heart

“Masterful! Simply masterful! The Dragonborn are stunning, the Paladins are mighty and full of valor, and the scenery...the scenery is like you reached into the dark recesses of creation and brought forth a new age of epic TTRPG and TTWG, wrought with the raw power of Tiamat herself. Masterful doesn't even begin to describe this epic release. You closed out 2024 with an epic bang with Void Elves vs. Inquisition (personally my favorites - huge Dark Eldar player in WH40K since 1999) and you are coming in super strong in 2025 with the Dragonborn and Paladins!!”

- Warhammer Steve

"You have outdone yourselves, yet again, Heroes Infinite! "Alright this set is one that I had been asking for and hoped for some time. What I had hoped for was an expansion to the Paladin Knights. What the HI team did was satiate that hope with more Paladin Knights, but then went off the charts with Dragonborn being included as a foe. I truly love this set from top to bottom. Not a bad model to be had and to make this go even more over the top the Centerpiece and Terrain set the stage for one of the greatest battlefields ever. If ever there was something as a post Christmas gift, the "Paladins of Light Against the Red Dragonborn" is it. As always I can't thank the HI team enough for their amazing work and creations you all pour your hearts into each month."All I want for Christmas now is another 10 bottles of resin, thank you!

-  Glen Hoffman

"And this is the reason i just stay subscribed each month as each release has amazing models and fantastic scenery. Keep up the amazing work!!"

"I am running the Hoard of the Dragon Queen right now and I can use all of these models. Thank you very very very much! Have a happy new year!!"

Here is the full line-up of all the minis from this release.

Chaos Blood and Steel Part 2 width=

Hello everyone,

First of all, we wish you the very best for this holiday season and the upcoming new year. We hope you’ve been able to enjoy this time with those closest to you. May this new year bring you many opportunities for gaming, painting, and adventures.

To kick off the year, we’re doing something that has been requested over and over again. Actually, we’re doing two things that you’ve been asking for repeatedly.

Here’s the video, but do come back if you want to learn more about how to get maximum use from this release.

Paladins

First, more paladins. Our Paladins of Light release remains one of our most popular collections and continues to sell extremely well today. Many of you have been asking for a follow-up to this release.

To be fair, we’ve already created additional paladins that have appeared in various other collections. For example, last year’s Christmas release with Goblins or the release where Paladins battled Chaos.

This time, we wanted to provide something that would allow you to complete your army—or at least significantly expand it—with many new units that were missing until now. These include a chariot and large mounted creatures.

Dragonborn

Additionally, we always receive requests for more dragons. Paladin, of course, provided the perfect opportunity to create characters mounted on dragons. But dragons aren’t the only thing you’ve been asking for. For a long time, you’ve wanted us to create dragonborn for your dragon-themed games.

I have to be honest: I had never been fully inspired by this theme. In general, I found the typical illustrations of these characters lackluster and, frankly, devoid of character. That’s been one of the main reasons why I hadn’t tackled this theme until now.

However, given how persistent you’ve been about dragonborn, I decided to take a more serious look at the idea. I worked with the team to create a stronger, more compelling vision for these dragon-like humanoids than what we usually see. I wanted them to have more presence, more intensity, and more personality.

The challenge, when you don’t rely on pre-existing models or well-established references, is that it requires much more research and experimentation. Some of the characters in this release gave us a lot of trouble, but in the end, I’m really happy with what we achieved 🙂

I find these dragon-men particularly menacing and intense. For this first foray into dragonborn, I chose red dragons because of their inherently evil nature, which contrasts beautifully with the paladins.

If you’re a Dungeons & Dragons player, you’ll notice that the paladins have metallic dragons associated with good, while the dragonborn are unmistakably evil.

Here, you’ll find everything you need to create classic dragonborn, but I wanted these dragon-men to be more versatile. That’s why I’ve also included versions of these characters with wings and tails. This gives you the option to use them as Draconians or to create exceptional characters for your dragonborn. You could even field them as a demonic army if you’re more into wargaming.

Draconians

In truth, Draconians hold a special place in my heart because, many years ago, I was the game master for the original Dragonlance campaign when it was first released. It was the first time Dungeons & Dragons launched such an ambitious project, featuring a line of miniatures, novels, and a phenomenal amount of illustrations—all centered around an official campaign.

Just as many of you seem to be today, I was captivated by this universe that showcased a multitude of dragons and dragon-related humanoid characters. Playing through this campaign felt like being immersed in an American blockbuster where the adventurers were the heroes. To make their experience even more immersive, I had created hundreds of floor plans and dioramas for the key moments of the adventure. I even composed and recorded music, like an original film score.

Every time my players heard the beginning of the draconian theme, with its ominous percussion beats, the atmosphere around the table was pure terror—no exceptions.

So, of course, today I couldn’t create dragon-men without making them equally usable as draconians.

A Perfect Clash

In the end, I think the clash between these two armies is absolutely perfect. They could easily form the basis of a new wargame starter set or serve as the foundation for a Dungeons & Dragons campaign.

I hope these characters inspire you and make you want to start new games and get your paint brushes out!

And finally, as always, we’re eager to hear your feedback. We can’t wait to find out which characters are your favorites, which pieces you’re planning to print first, and how you intend to use them in your various adventures and games.

Once again, the whole team wishes you a wonderful holiday season, and we’ll see you again very soon!
